Built and used by MVV Construction, London

Made by a builder, used on every job.

MVV Portal runs MVV Construction's programme, costs, invoices, site photos, labour and legal paperwork. AI assistants draft and check the paperwork. The people in the office still make the decisions.

MVV Technologies comes from MVV Construction.

We're a London design and build contractor first. Our own jobs are where the software gets tested, every day.

  1. MVV Construction

Our building company. The software was written for its jobs first.

  2. Used every day

Every job's programme, money, site photos, people and legal paperwork runs on MVV Portal.

  3. Then other firms

A change reaches other firms only after three months on our own jobs.

MVV Construction builds extensions, refurbishments and interiors in London. The admin was eating our evenings: photos lost in group chats, costs typed in twice, programmes redrawn every time a delivery slipped. So we wrote our own software and started running the jobs on it.

Everything on this page is in use on our own jobs today. Where something is only an example, it says so.

Office

Questions answered in the app, on WhatsApp or on a call.

  • Atlas answers on WhatsApp from the live records and files site photos
  • Ask MVV explains how to use the screen you're on
  • Support a help line you can call and talk to
  • The Day Planner fits your tasks around your calendar
  • The Closer asks the right questions when a task is ticked off

56 AI assistants in all. Each one has an off switch, and they all share one monthly spending limit that the owner sets.

A day on our jobs, and what the software does in it.

  1. Deadlines first

Legal deadlines coming up are flagged before anyone gets to site.

  2. Photos from site

Operatives send photos to the company WhatsApp. They're checked, tagged and filed to the right job, so nobody has to upload anything.

  3. A delivery is late

Steel is two weeks late. Every phase that depends on it moves, and you see the new finish date and the cost before you confirm.

  4. A call with the Project Manager

You ring the AI project manager from site and tell it what got done. It updates its plan for the job and writes up the minutes.

  5. A letter to answer

The Lawyer drafts a reply from the job's own records. You read it, change what you need to and send it yourself.

  6. The books

Receipts photographed during the day are already filled in. First thing tomorrow, Vera reads the ledger and flags anything that doesn't add up.

Next week

Next week's crew

The Project Manager suggests who goes where next week, starting from where everyone is now. It stays a suggestion until someone in the office adopts it.

When a job slips, you see what it costs.

The money side was built by people who price jobs for a living. Invoices take VAT at 0, 5 or 20 per cent and keep works, deposits and client-supplied materials on one document, and profit is worked out on the net figure. On the programme, a late phase moves everything linked to it, and you see the weeks lost and the cost before you confirm.

Illustrative example

Clients see their job, never your costs.

Who sees what is enforced by the database, table by table, not just hidden on the screen. Files open through private links that expire. Every Monday an automatic check looks over the database's security settings and tells us if anything has changed. AI use is logged by person and by assistant.

Role-scoped access
Project isolation
Row-level security
  • Clients see their programme, shared files and valuations, never your costs or profit
  • Architects can certify valuations but can't see company money
  • The legal vault is owner-only, and every action in it is logged
  • The AI never emails, texts or calls your clients

A price for building work, in minutes.

The Estimator is our second product. Describe the job, add photos or a plan if you have them, and answer a few questions. You get a price range with a breakdown by trade, on screen and by email.

  • For homeowners and builders, anywhere in England
  • Prices for anywhere in England, by postcode
  • One payment per estimate, shown before you start
  • An estimate, not a quotation, and prices exclude VAT

Runs on themvv.co.uk, MVV Construction's website. Opens in a new tab.

We're opening it to a few other builders.

MVV Portal is used every day at MVV Construction. We're now opening it to a small number of other building firms. The first ones get a direct line to the people who built it.
